Utopia Rote is perched atop the hill in the area of Nembrala with a 180-degree breathtaking panoramic sea view overlooking Nembrala beach and the surrounding forest. At Nembrala beach you will discover the world-famous left-hand surf break T-Land, alongside numerous other surfing spots. We are the perfect blend of exceptional surfing and a deeply soulful ambiance. On top of it, we source the majority of our vegetables from our thriving permaculture garden!
Blending surfing and adventure with sustainability is a top priority to us. That’s why we have it at our core to grow our own plants and minimize the use of materials harmful to the environment. We also aim to minimize environmental impact by employing dry toilets, which ensure hygiene without odors.

A purpose-built surf progression experience for intermediate to intermediate-advanced surfers, set on the quiet edge of Indonesia at Utopia Rote Eco Lodge, overlooking Nemberala Bay and the iconic T-Land.
This retreat is designed for surfers ready to move beyond chasing waves and start surfing with more intention, confidence, and efficiency. Through daily coached surf sessions, structured video analysis, breathwork, strength training, and recovery practices, each day is shaped around real, sustainable progression, both in and out of the water.

Four out of five in our family stayed here in mid April for 5 days and we loved Utopia Lodge. Kim and Aimone were first class hosts and their young boys were delightful as well. The food at Utopia Lodge was excellent and everything had a unique style to it. Kim's Yoga Classes were very special and the sunset drinks were exceptional.

Come for sunset drink and Dinner with friends. Food was delicious. Kim And Amone are great hosts. Definitely recommended when you are in Nembrala Beach. Sure will be back.
